My website has been closed for more than two months now. Here is what happened.

Around June 16th I felt the pressure to communicate my life to the world through Facebook, Twitter and this website was too much. I was unsure of what I was actually doing and what I wanted to do. So I stopped. First of all I stopped all social media activities. No more distractions. I turned off my cell phone and put a message on my website to contact me through e-mail. I decided to check my e-mail only once a day.

This created a mental room for thinking without constant distractions.

I’m not done with thinking and I still need to avoid many distractions – but I have decided to reopen my website and I’m slowly starting to use Twitter and Facebook again.

Recent updates from my life include: I have finished my MA degree in Information Studies and in August we did another round of Fashion Week Live.

I’m still rediscovering myself and trying to figure out what I want to do with my life in the future. I’m not close to any conclusions yet and thus I have decided to keep this reopened website very minimal and unfinished. As I progress in my search I will gradually rebuild it by adding more items to the top menu.

Six months ago I was invited by AnOther Magazine in London to share my favourite products and other things I find with the readers of AnOtherMag.com.
The things I find.

Today I’ve been in Vejle – a 40 minute train ride south of Århus. I had been invited to give a short inspirational talk about myself and how I use Facebook – and to moderate a Q&A session with Facebook Denmark Account Excecutive Jan Christiansen.
Photos of people giving presentations are always bad – usually a dark silhoutte in front of a brightly lit yet still unreadable PowerPoint projection. Today I wanted to take a new approach and so I shot a photo from my point of view – so you can see some of the attendees.

Almost two years ago, in June 2008, I helped my good friend and co-entrepreneur Andreas Lemche launch Eventuelt.org. An online gudie to (sub)cultural events in Århus. Like my own street style project GadeMode.dk, Eventuelt.org has grown and changed considerably since then.

Now, Eventuelt.org is a full blown guide to help you get the most out of your city (if you happen to live here). With a team of 15 contributors covering everything from food and theater to nightlife and events you won’t be left behind – and with a strong focus on tight and to-the-point language the site won’t be wasting your time either. It’s about high quality and journalists with an opinion.
Today Eventuelt is relaunching itself with a brand new visual profile and an even tighter focus on high quality content.
As a new feature on the site, Andreas has invited 10 interesting profiles – local musicians, artists and entrepreneurs – to blog about their daily lives in a short and almost Twitteresque format: what have you done today? Among these profiles you’ll find my name and my contributions about recent photo shoots, interviews, talks etc.
I really look forward to this new Eventuelt and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I will.

I’m skipping any attempt to define myself in terms of what I do.

Basically I’m living my life.

However, in the past I have been an independent writer, a self-employed web developer and it-specialist, I hold a MA in Information Studies/Cognitive Semiotics, and I have been a teacher in interactive multimedia production.

I have not always been a full-time photographer. My portfolio is an diverse archive of articles, fashion show reviews, websites and a couple of short movies. Each element has a picture, a heading, an explanatory text and a link to the actual piece.

Some of the interesting elements in my portfolio, include articles for Dansk Daily (The Official Copenhagen Fashion Week newspaper), a website for a Berlin fashion store. From the archives I recommend, you take a look at some of the e-learning systems I have worked with, and if you can read Danish, I also recommend that you read some of my restaurant and cocktail bar reviews.
