Article: Aarhus And The City – Part 1/3

St. Marks Place in East Village, NY. There is always something to do.

During my fall 2007 stay in New York City I wrote a series of articles about life in the city, compared to my home town Aarhus. The articles were published in the student magazine Delfinen. In this first article in what became a trilogy (published in November 2007, #136) Here, I focus on the street life of the city. I felt inspired by an exhibition on Jane Jacobs, henceforth, I tried to pinpoint what it is that makes life in NYC so special and how we could learn from it in Aarhus, Denmark.
